The Data Wrangler is responsible for creating a specific data workflow for each project, managing the offloading, copying, and backing up of OCF and audio files. With the use of softwares that performs checksums, they corroborate and verify the integrity of all backups, ensuring data accuracy and security. This role also involves conducting basic on-set QC of offloaded footage and audio files, distributing copies to dailies labs, post-production facilities, or assistant editors, and generating reports. Additionally, the Data Wrangler ensures all material is complete, free from technical errors, and properly documented for further processing.
