Deliverable (A2): Post Turnover & Editorial Backup

Due: 4-5 Days After Picture Lock

Deliver to:  FES Post via Aspera

Video Turnover item 4 (Final Locked Cut Reference File) should also be uploaded to FES Post via FrameIO


Video Turnover

1. EDL/XML – CMX3600 format

  • Please make sure the Source Timecode in the EDL references the original Source timecode (Raw Footage, Audio Dailies, etc.)
  • Please strip all added temp sfx/music information from EDLs

2. VFX List

  • (Word or Excel file is fine)

3. Stock footage Cue Sheet

  • Word or Excel file is fine, with name of the stock shot, timecode in & out, stock footage source/licensor.
  • Template provided.

4. Final Locked Cut Reference File(s)

  • Delivered to FES Post via Aspera or Frame.io
  • H.264, ~10mbps
  • 1920 x 1080
  • Timecode Burn-in (first frame of picture should start at 01:00:00:00)
  • Must have Academy or SMPTE head and tail leader with picture start mark, 2-pop and tail pop
  • Ch. 1 (L) – Production Audio, FX
  • Ch. 2 (R) – Temp Music

Audio Turnover

1.  .WAV of dialogue only

2. AAF/OMF (V2) files

  • 24bit, 48kHz

  • 10 second handles (300 frames)

  • Files can either be embedded with media or be delivered with a consolidated media files folder containing all needed audio data

  • Must not exceed 2GB in size

  • If you run into the 2GB limit, please split out into tracks (OMF for tracks 1-6, 7-12, etc.) 

Offline Editorial Backup

  • Editorial proxies

  • Production audio

  • Editorial projects including all linked media

  • Music, SFX, and stock footage (including temp)

  • Final locked reference file(s)

All media should be accessible for playback by a local volume in when plugged into a single computer.
