Production Turnover Summary

Delivered via Aspera to the FOX Entertainment Post & Production Technology department containing the following files:

  1. Copy of all raw original camera files (OCF) - preferably 5K or greater, 4K minimum upon approval

  2. Copy of all audio dailies

  3. Copy of all proxy files

Original Camera Files

  • Original camera roll folder structure should be maintained and include all ancillary camera metadata files (xml, ALE, etc.) when applicable.
  • All camera files, circled and non- circled takes, should be included in the archive.
  • Each camera roll should include a pertaining checksum (MD5 or xxHash64) verification file. This should be generated by the DIT or loader during offload so the chain of custody can be traced.
  • File names of camera files should be unique, avoiding any redundancy which can cause issues with post production processes later on in finishing.
    • The best practice is to include the camera roll, clip number, unique identifier, and production shoot date.
    • If redundancies exist, always duplicate the original files and modify the duplicates. Never modify the original files.
  • Along with the original files, mezzanine files created should also be included on the archive.

Production Audio

  • Original sound folder structure should be maintained and include all ancillary metadata files where applicable.

LUTs and CDLs

  • Any LUTs and CDLs created prior to and during production (for example by the DIT, Final Colorist, and/or Dailies Operator) and used on the dailies should be included in the archive.

All files created by your dailies vendor and corresponding paperwork, including:

  • Project Media
  • Bins/ALEs (if applicable)
  • Transfer Reports
  • Proxy Files
  • Camera and Sound Reports
